One place we often find ourselves while adventuring around Missouri is the town of Clinton. Well-traveled Hwys 52, 13 & 7 converge here which makes for a great place to recharge and refresh. Over the years, Nichole and I have tried nearly every restaurant, and antique shop, or just get out to stretch our legs while learning things. From outdoor adventures to historical sites, this throwback town in Henry County has something for every type of explorer.
Located just an hour south of Kansas City you can enjoy all the charm of a rural town, with fishing and boating activities, or quickly be in one of America’s favorite tourist destinations. Head just a couple hours south and you’re able to enjoy one of the world’s top family destinations in Branson & Springfield. Head to the east and you’ll find yourself in the heart of Missouri’s “Fun Lake”, Lake of the Ozarks.

Mallard’s Roadhouse – 201 NW Hwy 7 – American Cuisine – This place always serves up more than enough to eat. I think they do it on purpose. Just about anything you want in a roadside cafe is on the menu.
Primitive Olde Crow & Winery – 32 SE Hwy AA – Vineyard / Pizza – Who doesn’t want to hang out at a place with brick-oven pizza and a glass of wine? Throwing in amazing desserts too? Ok, I’m sure someone out there could keep their hand down but not us. Everything we’ve tried has been terrific!
